The Ultimate in house calls 

 4 times a month Dogstar’s team takes the road (and dirt tracks) for our mobile outreach clinics. Aimed at households who would find the cost of transporting a pet to one of fixed clinics a problem, or animals who would find the journey tramamatic, they are a great value way for to  deliver veterinary care and preventive treatments to those most in need. Each Clinic costs us £50 to run including all our veterinary team’s costs, fuel, medication, vaccinations and consumables

Given the remote nature of some of our patients , the team often has to compleate the last part of the journey by foot , or climb up or down steep embarkments or even once to the roof of a property to treat an injured cat !

Generally surgeries are carried out back at our base, but almost all other first opinion consults and treatments can be carried out by the mobile veterinary team – from vaccinations to skin treatments  & post op checks, to wound treatment and often treatment of TVT (transmissible veneral tumour)

Whilst there is no such thing as a average Mobile Clinic,  on a 7 hour day we now routinely treat 35-50  cases  traveling over 50 km ( a lot of that up and down hills !)  making it a very cost effective way of delivering the maximum treatment in the minimum time for the lowest costs

Individuals, groups and companies can now sponsor mobile clinics and you can sponsor more than one making it an ideal team fund- raising event or promotion. Your mobile Clinic can be named for individuals, groups or your company, or if you prefer you can remain anonymous. Photos and updates of your clinic will be provided on both Facebook and the News Section of our website  with any of your branding so you will see directly how your sponsorship has been used and the animals it has helped. The Team can also provide a personalised report of the days treatments if required.
